Leshan Giant Buddha

The Leshan Giant Buddha is a 71-metre tall stone statue that was built during the Tang Dynasty. It is a replica of Maitreya Buddha and is listed as a World Heritage Site. The Buddha is truly massive as you can see from the picture. You can opt to see the Buddha by walk, which will lead you to a steep flight of stairs, and a close up look of the Buddha. If you’re not a fan of heights, you can take a boat and enjoy the sight just as much. You can also take time to explore the park around the area where you will find nice pictures and beautiful temples.


Shu Feng Ya Yun Sichuan Opera

One of the crown jewels of the city is the spectacular show at the Shichuan Opera. The show features comedy, dance, music, acrobats, puppets, and shadow finger shows, face mask changing, and a lot more. You’ll enjoy every minute of it as you laugh and be amazed at the different acts. You can opt to have tea and get a massage after the show.



ChengDu Dan Dan Mian (Ren Middle Road Restaurant)

The signature dish in this restaurant is Dan Dan Mian, which is shown in the picture above. Dan Dan Mian is noodles with minced pork in a spicy sauce containing preserved vegetables, mustard stems, chili oil, Sichuan pepper, and scallions. Other suggested dishes are the bun with shredded pork and the stuffed pancake. For a cheap price, you can already get incredibly delicious food. A must try in the area.
